Regular siRNA refers to chemically synthesized double-stranded RNA without any chemical modifications. It is designed to target specific sequences and covers all genes in the human, mouse, and rat genomes. Custom synthesis for other species is also available upon customer request. Regular siRNA is suitable for initial screening experiments in various cell types for RNAi.
Regular siRNA molecules are typically 19 nt RNA + dTdT (with 3' overhangs) double-stranded RNA, without any chemical modifications. If the sequence is longer than 19 nucleotides, a note should be added to specify whether a 3' overhang with dTdT is required. The siRNA kits are only available for protein-coding genes included in the NCBI Entrez Gene database for humans, mice, and rats.
Ordering Tips
Sense | Sense chain, RNA sequence is the same as the target sequence |
Antisense | Antisense chain, RNA sequence is complementary to the target sequence |
Overhang | dTdT:overhangs at 3' ends, DNA |
