Product Details

miRNAs (microRNAs) are a class of small endogenous non-coding RNAs, approximately 17-25 bp in length, which can participate in post-transcriptional regulation of genes by specifically binding to target mRNAs, causing their degradation or inhibiting their translation. miRNAs are involved in multiple regulatory pathways of genes, ranging from embryonic development, viral defense, hematopoietic processes, organ formation, cell proliferation and apoptosis, lipid metabolism to tumor growth. miRNAs play an important role in a range of physiological and pathological processes and have been screened as reliable biomarkers of disease. In addition, scientists are currently trying to make miRNAs potentially effective interventions and therapeutics for diseases by altering their functions and developing new mechanisms of action, such as regulating genomic expression.
