DEPC-treated water is processed through 0.1% DEPC (Diethyl pyrocarbonate) and undergoes high-temperature high-pressure disinfection. It is rigorously tested for contaminating nonspecific endonuclease, exonuclease, nucleic acids and RNase activity. DEPC-treated water is idle for applications involving RNA, such as dissolution of RNA sediment, reverse transcription and annealing of siRNA, as well as other reaction systems which should be free from RNase, DNase and Proteinase.
