With a length around 20-30 nt, common Taman probes always suffer interference from background fluorescence signals during qPCR experiments due to their incomplete quenched effect. BiOligo has developed the super-quenched probe (SQ), which features an additional quencher (as shown in picture below) between the sequences, in addition to the unique quencher at the 3’ end. This realizes dual quenched protection, reducing the interference of background fluorescence signals, improving detection sensitivity, preventing fluorescence leakage and guaranteeing a better quenched effect.
