Conventional Taqman probes are typically 20-30 nt in length, but they may suffer from background fluorescence interference due to incomplete quenching, which can affect the sensitivity of qPCR experiments. To effectively reduce background fluorescence interference and improve detection sensitivity, BiOligo has developed SuperQuencher Probes (SQ). In addition to the unique quencher group at the 3' end, a second quencher group is introduced in the middle of the probe sequence (as shown in the diagram below), providing dual quenching protection to prevent fluorescence leakage and ensure better quenching performance.
Advantages
High sensitivity: Lower limit of detection down to 1 copy;
High signal-to-noise ratio: Effectively reduces background fluorescence signal;
Suitable for multiplex qPCR detection: Effectively avoids cross-talk issues in different fluorescence channels, reducing false positives.
